In the case of extremely adverse weather conditions, the nursery may close. We will follow our emergency plan in the first instance. However, if we still cannot operate safely, we may be forced to shut down until it is safe to reopen. Such actions will only come in effect in extreme circumstances threatening the safety and welfare of children, staff and parents.

Early morning announcements concerning any closure will be made by text messages, emails and recorded greeting on the nursery’s answerphone.
Should the nursery close down during the day due to extreme weather or an unforeseen emergency, the nursery manager or an appointed staff will telephone parents and inform them of the arrangements.

It is our nursery’s policy to remain open at all times, but closure may become unavoidable sometimes.
